Finding Details:
The member was found to have committed professional misconduct in June 2011 in that he:
- signed or issued, in his professional capacity, a document that he knew or ought to have known contained a false or misleading statement and engaged in disgraceful, dishonourable and unprofessional conduct when he provided his employer with a Criminal Records Check which did not list an outstanding charge of assault contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada.
Outcome Details:
The Discipline Committee ordered that the member’s certificate of registration be suspended for 8 months; required the member to appear before the panel to be reprimanded; and imposed the following terms, conditions and limitations on the member’s certificate of registration:
- Must successfully complete specified remedial activities
- Must inform employer(s) of results of discipline hearing
- Must inform College of all nursing employer(s) for a period of time

Finding Details:
The member was found to have committed professional misconduct in that he:
- contravened the standards of practice of the profession and engaged in disgraceful, dishonourable and unprofessional conduct between October and December 2016 by failing to maintain the boundaries of the therapeutic nurse-client relationship with respect to engaging in a personal relationship with a client, paying for hotel rooms where a client stayed, providing a client with a cellular telephone and disclosing information about his personal life to a client; and
- contravened the standards of practice of the profession and engaged in unprofessional conduct in February 2014 by sending information regarding a client from a work email to a personal email address.
