Finding Details:
The member was found to have committed professional misconduct in and about August and September 2018 in that the member:
- contravened the standards of practice of the profession and engaged in dishonourable and unprofessional conduct by failing to provide adequate care to a patient on or about five dates; and by failing to escalate a patient’s fall (or possible fall) to a physician as required; and
- failed to keep records as required, contravened the standards of practice of the profession and engaged in dishonourable and unprofessional conduct by failing to document care provided to two patients on or about five dates; and by failing to document a patient’s behaviour as required.

Outcome Details:
The Discipline Committee ordered that the member’s certificate of registration be suspended for 3 months; required the member to appear before the panel to be reprimanded; and imposed the following terms, conditions and limitations on the member’s certificate of registration:
- Must successfully complete remedial activities
- Must inform employer(s) of results of discipline hearing
- Must inform CNO of all nursing employer(s) for a period of time
- Employer(s) to audit the member’s practice and provide specified reports to CNO for a period of time
