Finding Details:
The member was found to have committed professional misconduct in that she:
- contravened the standards of practice of the profession and engaged in unprofessional conduct in or about July 2016 by failing to complete the admission information for a patient including transcribing the patient’s list of medications into their medical chart;
- contravened the standards of practice of the profession and engaged in dishonourable and unprofessional conduct in or about July 2016 by failing to document the administration of medication for a patient in an appropriate manner; between November and December 2016 by altering documentation in the medical record of a patient when she obscured a colleague’s notation that she failed to administer medication and inserted the date and time of her administration;
- contravened the standards of practice of the profession, misappropriated property from her workplace and engaged in disgraceful, dishonourable and unprofessional conduct by withdrawing tablets of Oxycodone and Percocet from the facility’s medication dispensing system for three patients on ten occasions between June and November 2017, which she did not administer; and
- contravened the standards of practice of the profession, falsified a record relating to her practice and engaged in disgraceful, dishonourable and unprofessional conduct in or about June 2017 by documenting that she administered Oxycodone tablets to a patient on seven occasions when she had not.

The Discipline Committee ordered that the member’s certificate of registration be suspended for 8 months; required the member to appear before the panel to be reprimanded; and imposed the following terms, conditions and limitations on the member’s certificate of registration:
- Must successfully complete specified remedial activities
- May not engage in independent nursing practice for a period of time
- Must inform employer(s) of results of discipline hearing
- Must inform College of all nursing employer(s) for a period of time
