Details:
It is alleged that the member committed professional misconduct in that she:

contravened the standards of practice of the profession; failed to keep records as required; and engaged in disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional conduct on, about or between November 12-13, 2018, by failing to ensure that her documentation of patient care was accurate, timely and complete when she documented an irregular heart rate for a patient at 2158 hours but failed to document the intervention undertaken until 0816 hours and failed to indicate that it was a late entry; failed to assess a second patient and/or document such an assessment for the first approximately four hours of her shift; failed to assess a third patient and/or document such an assessment for the patient until 10 hours into her 12-hour shift; failed to document the Transfer of Accountability for a fourth patient until four hours after her shift started and/or her documented assessments of the patient with respect to neurological, skin and gastrointestinal body systems were incomplete, inconsistent and/or inaccurate; and/or failed to assess a fifth patient and/or document such an assessment until approximately seven hours after her shift started; and/or

contravened the standards of practice of the profession and engaged in disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional conduct in or about November 2018 and January 2019 when she was observed sleeping while on shift; in or about November 2018, by failing to provide nursing care in a timely manner when a patient, who was identified as in need of close observation by their primary nurse during Transfer of Accountability for break, was found naked and urinating on the floor, and/or by failing to conduct check(s) of that patient between 0100 and 0300 hours; and/or in or around January 2019, by failing to provide appropriate patient care to another patient and putting the patient’s safety at risk when she failed to follow the relevant code blue policy.
