It is alleged that the member committed professional misconduct in that the member:

  • contravened the standards of practice of the profession and engaged in disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional conduct by publicly making statements which contained information which the member knew or ought to have known were inaccurate, false and/or misleading regarding gender identity and/or sexual orientation, including but not limited to: posting a video entitled “My Thoughts on Pronouns” on the Rumble platform in or around March 2023; and/or authoring a post regarding gender affirming surgeries on the Instagram platform in or around June 2023.

It is alleged that the member committed professional misconduct in that the member:

  • contravened a term, condition, or limitation of the member’s certificate of registration and engaged in disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional conduct by failing to provide the Executive Director of CNO with the details of five charges including:
    • three counts of failing to comply with a continued order under Section 7.0.2 of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, contrary to Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act, 2020, 10.1(1) in or about March and April 2021;
    • one count of failing to comply with a continued order originally made under subsection 7.0.2 of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, contrary to Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act, 2020, s. 10(1)(a); and/or
    • one count of hosting/organizing a public event where the number of people in attendance exceeded the number permitted under the continued order under Section 7.0.2 of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, contrary to Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act, 2020, s. 10.1(1).

  • contravened the standards of practice of the profession and engaged in disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional conduct when she publicly made or shared statements, or caused others to make such statements on her behalf, which contained information which she knew or ought to have known was inaccurate, false and/or misleading in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic and/or the public health response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and/or which encouraged non-compliance of public health orders in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic.
