The College of Nurses of Ontario ("CNO") is the regulatory body that governs the practice of nursing in Ontario under the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991, the Nursing Act, 1991 regulations passed under those Acts and College By-Laws.
The Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991, has mandated that CNO have a Register containing information required under that Act and the By-Laws, and that the Register be available on a public website. The contact information for each member is provided by the member and is not verified by CNO. If you have difficulty in contacting one of our members, contact CNO for assistance.
The purpose of the Register is to help the public identify that a person providing nursing care in Ontario is a nurse registered with CNO, and determine the nurse’s registration status. This information is not designed nor is it intended to be used for any other purpose, including marketing or research.
CNO endeavours to update its Register within a reasonable time period, however, there may be a delay of up to two business days when updating information. For assistance in using the Register and/or finding information about a member, contact the Customer Service Centre at 416 928-0900, toll free in Canada at 1800 387-5526.
CNO makes every effort to ensure that all of the information posted on the website is accurate and complete. However, CNO does not represent, warrant or guarantee that it is and accepts no liability or obligation relating thereto.Return to previous page
